A.D. Gray

Alyse Gray is a pathologists' assistant who enjoys foraging for wild mushrooms. She became fascinated by fungi after attempting to grow mushrooms in her cubicle at work during the pandemic. Noticing a dearth in children's mushroom literature, she created the character of Billy Button to teach kids about fungal biodiversity. Alyse is also a proud member of the Mycological Association of Washington, DC.
