Abbas Ahmad Nasiri was born in Rabat Morocco in 1963. His family was involved in the shipping industry, and his father was a well-known local politician. Abbas attended Sorbonne Université for his undergraduate studies in the fine arts. He then attended the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York, where he achieved his masters and doctorate degrees in Photography. Nasiri spent years working in both the fashion industry and in journalism, traveling the world on countless photographic assignments for Reuters, AP, Vogue, and Playboy Magazine. At the turn of the century, he settled in Lisbon Portugal, where he lives to this day. Nasiri still travels extensively, teaching photographic symposia, and recently, seminars on photorealistic machine generated (AI) imagery. Though now in his 60s, Abbas believes in staying on the cutting edge of creativity.
