Adam Duncan Harris

Adam Duncan Harris has been the Curator of Art at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, since 2000. His current title is Petersen Curator of Art and Research. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University before continuing on to the University of Wyoming for a Master’s degree in American Studies. He finished his academic studies at the University of Minnesota, where he received a Ph.D. in Art History. He is the author of Wildlife in American Art: Masterworks from the National Museum of Wildlife Art and editor of the award-winning Bob Kuhn: Drawing on Instinct, both published by the University of Oklahoma Press. He recently curated a touring exhibit in conjunction with the Smithsonian American Art Museum, entitled George Catlin’s American Buffalo, which also features a full-color catalogue with essay.
