My present obsession has lasted a few years now; since I first got my hands on an AR.Drone and began tinkering with the programming and souping up the components. It was all going so well, until I got a bit cocky about how long a flight-path could be pre-programmed and my glorious multicopter with claimed by the English Channel. Since then I've been building and flying drones whenever I get the chance, from monster camera-ships to the nippy 'Wooden Wonder' (you'll need to read my book to find out more). With a varied career in the creative industries, I can never decide whether it's best to describe myself as a publisher, videographer, photographer, journalist, writer, designer or some other term. Having served a while in iCreate and Digital Video Techniques magazines, writing features and tutorials, and with the Ilex team producing fantastic photography books and videos, I've had my fair share of digital creativity, and I keep coming back for more.
