Adam Met

Adam Met, PhD, is a musician, educator, and advocate. He tours worldwide as the “A” in the multi-platinum indie-pop band AJR, while using his reach and voice to advance fair solutions to the global climate emergency. He is the founder and Executive Director of the climate advocacy nonprofit Planet Reimagined, pioneering a unique action-research model using media and entertainment channels along with strategic advocacy. Adam works closely with Congress and the White House to promote renewable energy in the U.S. and serves as a celebrity climate advocate for the United Nations Development Programme. He teaches graduate-level climate courses as an adjunct professor at Columbia University and has a PhD in human rights law and sustainable development. Adam is frequently in the media including The New York Times, Wall St Journal, and Fortune, and is a featured contributor to TIME and a regular commentator on climate issues for CNN. He also brings climate messages to entertainment and music outlets including MTV, Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine, People, and the Hollywood Reporter.
