Adam Salner

关于作者

Adam Salner was born in 1979 in Denver, Colorado. For as long as he can remember, Adam has been fascinated with construction and passionate about creating housing solutions, big or small. He was only 12 when he undertook his first construction project, building a tiny wooden house for his dog Tuxy. At 18, right after school, Adam started work as a general contractor for several big construction corporations. He has worked on many luxury housing projects in Colorado, Arizona, and the West and Midwest US during this time. Through more than 20 years of experience in fine home construction, Adam soon realized that traditional construction projects did not always sit well with his values and passion for more sustainable living solutions. In 2015, he shifted his focus and energy to sustainable housing. Adam's vision is to make sustainable housing options accessible to everyone. His mission is to inspire others to live more sustainably and share how creating a sustainable home utilizing shipping containers is possible. These days, Adam trains construction companies and individuals interested in sustainable living and off-grid housing solutions. He has been involved in hundreds of shipping container home construction projects and masters any detail: insulation, flooring, siding types and color, kitchens, bathrooms and more! In his free time, Adam enjoys family time with his wife, Becky and his son, Matt, and he enjoys nothing more than a barbecue with friends and a cold beer! In Adam's book, you will find a legacy of high-end craftmanship and all the know-how you need on any construction detail required to create your own shipping container home.
