About the author Adrianne Lind, Certified Yoga Teacher, MSc, MA, BA, stumbled into the world of Yoga in 1996—quite literally, after surviving a drop from a 4-story window just outside Paris, France. Yet before and since then, she’s survived rape, two divorces, menopause, over ten household moves, and the crippling grief of losing her beloved father, all while being a long-distance caregiver. She’s also faced health battles like rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Yet through it all, Adrianne credits her love for and from family, friends, prayer, breathwork, meditation, mindful movement, the ability to write things out, and a deep sense of gratitude for keeping her grounded and (mostly) sane, and immune to the lifelong body shaming directed her way for being a real slim shady. Whew! She’s happiest on the Yoga mat, coaching or practicing, and is living her dream of helping others discover Yoga to Grieve With Grace, Age Better with Yoga, and Relieve the Anger and Shame of Sexual Assault. Though she’s mastered many life challenges, including creating a multi-award-winning blog and hosting three podcasts, sufficient rest remains elusive—maybe it’s because when she could be napping, she’s busy reading, helping people vote, reading, cooking, knitting, daydreaming of sewing again, honing her quilting skills, or simply enjoying time with her Swede. #mindfulness #yoga #tapping #meditation #breathing
