Agatha van der Merwe

Agatha van der Merwe is a South-African author of romance and crime/mystery novels in Afrikaans. After matriculating in 1989, she obtained her N5 Secretarial Certificate; qualified as a pharmacist’s assistant and worked in a pharmacy for twelve years. She started writing speeches in 2006 for scholars who participated in public speaking competitions held by the Afrikaans Language and Culture Association and ended up doing it for almost ten years. Her debut novel “Lokval by Gwenaël-wynlandgoed” was published in 2017 and since then twelve more novels have been published. Two of her short stories were included in Malherbe Publishers’ “EMOSIES BUNDEL”. Agatha loves doing research, taking walks, working in her rose garden, and playing the piano.
