Agustina S. Paglayan is a political science and public policy professor at the University of California, San Diego, and a nonresident fellow at the Center for Global Development. She is internationally renowned for her expertise in how politics shapes and is shaped by education systems. Her award-winning research on the interplay between politics and education has been covered by The Economist, the Washington Post, NPR, and other major outlets. Paglayan received her PhD in political science at Stanford University and also holds degrees in education policy, public policy, and economics.
