Alan C. Acock

Alan Acock is a University Distinguished Professor and Knudson Chair for Family Research at Oregon State University. He is married with four children and addicted to bicycling. Alan is the recipient of several awards including the Alumni Distinguished Professor Award from Oregon State University and the Osborne Award from the National Council on Family Relations--both awards for mentoring students.There are two areas of writing. One is understanding family life and intergenerational influence. The other is making statistical analysis accessible to social scientists.
