Aldrin V. Gomes is a writer, educator, scientist, award-winning mentor, advocate for underprivileged students, and the founder of happiestlife.org. He was born and raised in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and is a Professor of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and is a fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA) and the cardiovascular section of the American Physiological Society (FCVS). He has written hundreds of published articles and abstracts; he was the editor of a scientific book and has given invited talks in many countries. He lives in California with his wife and two daughters and enjoys writing, photography, painting, and traveling. His daughters have described his singing skills as dreadful.
