Alex Kerten is the founder and director of the Gyro-Kinetics method to treat Parkinson's sufferers. A unique blend of behavior modification, structuring and healing movement exercises and music, the Gyro-Kinetics treatment has achieved great success with clients who travel from around the world who travel to Alex's clinic in Herzliya, Israel for treatment. Born in 1945 in Israel, Alex developed a magnetic affinity for music from a very young age, with a special love for jazz and improvisation. He was introduced to Martial Arts in the Israel Defense Forces and he continued to pursue that field in the Far East. Alex studied under Grand master Gad Skornik (Israel),Grand Master Hatsumi Masaaki (Japan) and Master Elli Leffler Israel) where he graduated with seven black belts. He continued studying structuring and healing movements and worked with Parkinson’s patients at the Reuth Hospital in Tel-Aviv and later taught at the Maccabi Health Institute, part of Maccabi health care services in Israel. Utilizing these decades of experience in the fields of movement disorders, posture management, respiratory and physical behavior disorders, Alex developed the Gyro-Kinetics method which he’s been teaching ever since.
