Alex Powers

Alex Powers is an elementary school teacher in Keller, TX, and has been teaching for over five years. He never intended on becoming a teacher, nor did he ever plan on being the author of a children's book. It wasn't until a family friend of his, who happened to be a superintendent for a charter school, offered him a position at a school. From there, Alex has taught physical education, coached soccer, and basketball, taught fourth grade, and now third grade, and enjoys every minute of it. The books he has authored are "The Paper with No Name!" and "Bringing Back Main Street." He had the idea for "The Paper with No Name!" for some time but decided to give the first draft of it a try. Most of the first draft was put together on his phone while Alex was rocking his newborn daughter, Savannah, to sleep. Thankfully, the nap was long and the first draft was good enough to make him think "This might actually be something!"
