Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, this author displayed a deep interest in history, spirituality, and languages from a young age. Education and Career After earning a degree in Theology from the prestigious Harvard Divinity School, a profound spiritual calling led this author to Rome, the Eternal City. Drawn by the city's religious heritage and the Vatican's influence, the decision was made to settle in Rome to further study and faith, close to the heart of the Catholic Church. Life in Rome and the Vatican For many years, this author has lived in the heart of Rome, near the Vatican. This proximity to the Holy See has allowed for a deep immersion in the culture and history of the Jubilee, one of the most significant events in the Catholic Church. Collaborations with various religious orders have included organizing and leading prayer services, as well as participation in numerous ecclesiastical events, such as the canonization of saints and the election of a new Pope. Passion for Languages Fluent in several languages, including Italian, German, Spanish, and Latin, this author accesses a range of historical and theological resources, from ancient manuscripts to sacred texts. This linguistic skill also aids in connecting with pilgrims worldwide, providing them with spiritual and historical guidance during their journeys to Rome, and often translating prayers and religious texts. Love for Rome The author’s affection for Rome extends beyond religious vocation. Captivated by the city’s millennia-old history, its art, and architecture, free moments are often spent wandering through the historic alleys of Rome, exploring ancient churches, museums, and archaeological sites.
