Alexander R Dawoody

Alexander R. Dawoody, Ph.D. is the Director of the PhD Programm in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies at Marywood University. He is a three-times Fulbright Scholar, the Founding President of the Association for Middle Eastern Public Policy and Administration (AMEPPA), two sections at the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), as well as the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Professional Studies, and the Journal of Middle Eastern Review of Public Administration. Dr. Dawoody earned his Ph.D. in Public Affairs and Administration as well as a Master of Philosophy degree from Western Michigan University. He also earned a Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Health Administration from Suffolk University-Boston, a Master of Education from Cambridge College-Massachusetts, and two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. He is fluent in Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, English, as well conversational Turkish and Spanish. He is also an artist (oil painting), a poet, a playwright, and a calligrapher.
