
Alexander Fedotov was born in 1968 in Leningrad, Russia. From 1986 to 1989, he served in the Soviet Pacific Fleet as a sailor aboard the missile cruiser Admiral Fokin—an experience that serves as the foundation of much of his storytelling. In 1996, he earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, USA. Throughout his career, Alexander has held leadership positions in some of the world's largest consulting firms in Russia and the United States. He served as President of Uranium One Americas and Chairman of the Board of Uranium One Inc., both subsidiaries of the Rosatom State Corporation. Additionally, he has lectured on business consulting at the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg State University and HSE University in Moscow. Alexander is an accomplished author and illustrator whose work spans Humorous Historical Nonfiction, Memoir, and Children’s Fantasy. He has written over 50 historical nonfiction stories, many of which are featured in two acclaimed books: Macaroni – Russian Navy Style (Ingram/Lightning Source, UK, 2016) and Notes of a Sailor from the Admiral Fokin (Lenor, Moscow, 2008). Expanding his literary repertoire, Alexander made his debut in children’s literature with Timmy’s Magical Pencil Adventure, where he served as both author and illustrator. He has also adapted historical events into bedtime stories for young readers and translated Dr. Seuss’s The Pale Green Pants into Russian. Alexander Fedotov is a father to a daughter and five sons. He currently lives and works between St. Petersburg and Washington, D.C.
