Alfred Allen is an experienced personal trainer born in Lansing, Michigan, in 1971. Ever since he was a teen, he has shown a great passion for sports and training. After becoming a personal trainer, he devoted himself for years to helping people who had suffered accidents or surgeries and needed to regain the function of damaged body parts. In 2013, he left his job momentarily to commit himself full-time to being a caregiver for his mother because as she aged, she could not continue living alone. This situation encouraged him to look for a way to help her regain her autonomy, and by applying what he had learned over the years as a personal trainer, he managed to improve her wellness and health. That was the spark that gave rise to Bright Years: a series of books that aims to enter the homes of seniors and help them, through specific and targeted workouts, regain strength, stability, and even the mental motivation to be able to spend joy-filled days again. As we grow older, we convince ourselves that there is nothing we can do to avoid pain and frailty; Bright Years was born precisely to eradicate this belief and enable everyone to live a peaceful and renunciation-free old age.
