Alice Thomas-Roberts grew up on the Caribbean island of Grenada with her parents and 6 siblings. As a child, she had an intense love for reading, and read everything in sight. In her teens, she began to write her own fiction stories. These were never published, but later, in her adult life, after spending several years as Senior Foreign Service Officer and Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she began to host seminars and workshops on Protocol and Etiquette. Being a seminar facilitator came naturally to her as she had begun her career as a teacher and taught for a few years before going off to university and returning to teach again at the tertiary level. It was her writing that paved the way for an invitation to join the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after she returned from a Study Tour of Japan where she represented her country. Her report of the Study Tour which included diplomats from various Caribbean and Latin American Countries led the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry to invite her to join his staff. Combining her love for and understanding of Protocol and Teaching, led her to writing training manuals and eventually books for her participants. She is now the author of two published books in the series Protocol & Etiquette for Caribbean People: Etiquette in Communication and Basic Diplomacy and VIP Courtesies, and an Ebook titled Dining Anywhere With Comfort. She is also Editor and Publisher of an Anthology of poems written by Bryan J. Roberts, titled Soaring Above Limitations. Alice has also launched an evergreen online course titled Business Etiquette for Professsionals which is hosted on the ELearning Kings Platform. Her valued principle is to give of her best in whatever she is involved.
