Alicia Salazar

Alicia Salazar grew up in Houston, Texas with dreams of becoming a marine biologist and a writer. She took a winding road, but she finally made all her dreams come true. Her books include the Camila the Star series, Loch Ness Monster, Trolls, and Día de los Muertos, all by Capstone. Cascarones: An Easter Surprise, by Piñata books, will be out on May 31, 2025. Alicia is a member of SCBWI and 12x12. She currently spends her time writing essays and picture books in her cozy office in Conroe, Texas where she lives with her family.
