Allan Wood

Allan is a recently retired college educator in digital media and business and a lifelong New England lighthouse and maritime history enthusiast who enjoys researching, writing, and sharing stories about New England historical events and folklore. He has authored seven editions of a college textbook on digital media applications and a book about shipwrecks, rescues, and hauntings around New England lighthouses. After years of researching, exploring, and photographing all 168 New England lighthouse stations, Allan published two lighthouse tourism books and built a lighthouse tourism site at NELights.com to share. He has just published his newest book on the largest sailing ships built in New England in the early 1900s and enjoys camping and exploring with his wife in their travel trailer.
