AlyT aka Allison Tyson (that's me) is an Australian 73' edition, mother of two, writer and swimming teacher, with a passion for all things swimming. My past life (BC: before children) included traipsing the deck of a 50m pool as a Mini-Squad Swim Coach, Swim Instructor and Swim Mechanic plus Sales Rep-ing on and off for some multinational companies and traveling the world for work and leisure exploring God's glorious creation. My current endeavours include applying my wealth of swimming knowledge to the writing of learn-to-swim books, guides and lesson plans for swimmers, swim schools and parents. The 'Learn to Swim the Australian Way' series and the 3-part 'Water Awareness for Infants' series are to date my greatest writing achievement. My goal was to create a series of books from birth to adulthood teaching swimmers to swim; making learn to swim accessible and affordable to everyone. My latest series are activity books, journals and logbooks for swimmers and swimming coaches. I've written all my books using what I call 'my engaging, personal narrative style of wit, fun and humour,' not the usual run of the mill laboriously boring 'lecture speak' most writers choose to use'. Getting straight to the point without overwhelming readers is an art I believe I have successfully achieved; this makes my books 'fun' to learn from, even for parents and swim moms.
