Allison Williams

Allison Williams is a travel, outdoor, and feature writer living in Seattle. She holds a B.S. from Duke University and an MFA from University of Alaska Anchorage, with studies at Oxford University and an ethnobiology field school. After eight years as a writer and editor in New York City, she became senior editor at Seattle Met magazine in 2011. She is a climber, backcountry skier, and author of three travel books about the Pacific Northwest. She's contributed fiction and nonfiction essays to various anthologies, and her fiction thesis won the Jason Wenger Award for Literary Excellence at UAA. Her journalism has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists and the City and Regional Magazine Association.
