Alvin Dewayne Walker Jr

Author Biography Hello, my name is Alvin D. Walker Jr. I live in Texas and enjoy writing books for our most valuable resource, our children. Educated at Prairie View A&M University, I’m a retiree in the Environmental Health and Safety Management Field of one of the most prestigious universities in the nation, Texas A&M. I have tons of experience raising kids and consulting youths on life decisions. I am a simple man who loves his kids and grandchildren. I have spent a lot of time with my grandkids traveling, fishing, riding horses, and flying drones. During these times together, I’ve noticed the different ways they socialize with others, the different personalities they develop through life experiences. Since I was a young parent, I have enjoyed telling stories to my kids and grandkids. I would tell them stories at bedtime and on camping trips. In every story would be a message of perseverance, bravery, integrity, patience, or caring. In today’s world, they need these characteristics. Kids tend to listen and learn more when told through a story. To this day, my adult kids still remember the stories. They remember to “do the right thing, and good things will come to you in the future”. My stories sent messages of how to deal with bullying, the consequences of disobedience, and building self-esteem through their achievements.
