Alyssa Davis

I am a twenty-one-year-old nonbinary author from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have been writing poetry to express myself since I was in the 2nd grade. I am now the aunt of two nephews and have one dog. My large family lives together in a two-story home. It can get pretty hectic, but we always have each other's backs. I'm not going to be one of those authors who writes a pity story of growing up in the struggle, because I didn't. My struggle began in my late teens. Acting out from my parents' divorce I quickly threw myself into relationships filled with red flag after red flag. I think many young people can relate to acting out due to familial struggles. My books are about recovering and crying through your struggles and still living on.
