Amanda Jo Norwood is a certified academic language therapist (CALT) providing therapy for students with dyslexia. She graduated from the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She is passionate about creating a means for laughter and learning to coexist. Becoming a published children's book author was a lifetime dream fulfilled after twenty years in the field of education. Her books are always organically inspired by raising her children. Being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt are the roles that she cherishes most. Enjoy her series of engaging children's books highlighting phonological concepts. This series was created to enhance dyslexia therapy or phonics instruction. It is not a curriculum. The Lola Kay series adds a little flavor, and laughter, to typical instruction! The main stories highlight a phonological concept, vocabulary words and even figurative language.
