She is also an author and educational consultant, passionate about equipping educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent challenging behaviors in their classrooms. Recognizing that student behavior is a common challenge in the classroom, Amanda leads workshops that empower educators to implement universal practices effectively, enhancing their competence and confidence in intervening at the classroom level, regardless of building supports. As the co-founder and owner of Navigating Behavior Change, Amanda offers training and support in universal supports, tiered systems of support, and positive behavior intervention frameworks. Her unique background as a military wife has allowed her to work in various regions across the United States, exposing her to diverse educational settings and experiences.
