Amar Ayyash

Amar Ayyash is a leading authority on the gulls of North America. He is often found speaking at birding events throughout North America and is a regular contributor to premier birding magazines and journals. Ayyash hosts the website anythinglarus, administers the North American Gulls group, and he also coordinates the Illinois Ornithological Society's Annual Gull Frolic. His book, The Gull Guide, has earned high praise around the world and in 2024 he was awarded the American Birding Association's Robert Ridgeway Award for Outstanding Ornithological Publication.
