Aminata Sy is a leader who served as a US diplomat in Brazil and a congressional fellow working on education policy in the US Senate. She wrote and reported for various publications in Philadelphia, focusing on the stories of Black Americans and African immigrants, and has been honored for her leadership, academic excellence, and contributions to society with various awards, including being named one of Philadelphia’s Most Influential by the Philadelphia Tribune. As the founder of the African Community Learning Program, Aminata led more than 165 volunteers and supported African diaspora students in societal integration. She is the founder and CEO of Aminata Sy Enterprises, where she teaches, writes, and speaks about achieving greatness against all odds.
