Amit Pandey

Dr. Amit Pandey is an internal medicine hospitalist with SRS Medical Group in San Diego, California and is Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He attended UCLA for undergrad followed by UCSD for both medical school and residency. Not long ago, he was an excited premed student dreaming about becoming a doctor. Now that he is well into his career, he is passionate about empowering future physicians with the knowledge they need to fully understand a life and career in the medical field. He has extensive experience writing about medical education/training as well as mentoring aspiring premeds. His desire to pay it forward to future generations of physicians, combined with his passion for the written word, inspired him to write The Premed Paradox. Outside of work, he loves to play basketball, exercise, write (of course), and spend time with his loved ones.
