Amy B. Crowe has been writing since she was a child. Her first-place win in a writing contest, at age 10, increased her desire to write more. She has published articles in newspapers and alumni magazines, and her first children’s book, Changed By a Catch, was published in 2015. Her three children are the inspiration for her stories, and she enjoys being active in their lives. Her characters and their stories deal with real-life situations faced by children and parents. The decisions her characters make, and the lessons they learn, are meant to be a valuable influence to her readers since they could encounter similar real-life situations. Amy desires for her books to make reading so fun for children that they are completely captivated and don’t even realize until they finish reading they have learned a valuable lesson as well. Writing is a gift that has the power to influence many. As a writer, Amy wants to make a difference and influence the lives of children and their families in a positive way. There are many issues to cover and many books left to write, but as you read through her books, you may find the characters in a similar situation you have had in your own home. These books are not in any way meant to tell parents how to raise their child, but they do provide humor as the characters learn and grow and entertain the reader throughout the book. All parents deal with disobedience, talking to children about strangers, kids lying, bullies, etc. and should be able to relate to these books on some level. They can be a great conversation starter to talk to your children about bullies, lying, strangers, or other situations they may face. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle or close friend, everyone can relate to the characters in some way and enjoy a chuckle or two throughout the book. Enjoy reading and please review it and let Amy know what you thought of her books!
