Hi! I have been practicing as an occupational therapist in the United States since 2005. My first book, "Documentation for Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care: A Guide for Occupational Therapists" was published in 2022 to help OT practitioners with documentation. I love anything related to OT in SNF/LTC and welcome the opportunity to connect with students and OT practitioners on Facebook or LinkedIn. My second book for occupational therapy practitioners, titled "Treatment Strategies for Occupational Therapy in Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care: A Guide for Occupational Therapy Practitioners" was published in June of 2024. I'm excited to share this book with you! This is the book I wish I had read as an OT student during Level II fieldwork and as a new graduate OT in SNF/LTC 20 years ago! As a fieldwork student and new graduate, I remember feeling overwhelmed and unsure of treatment ideas. I needed a simple book to learn the basics of treatment planning to address functional goals. I hope my book can help OT/OTA students and new graduates to feel more competent and confident in treatment planning so they can focus more on establishing therapeutic relationships and helping patients to reach their goals. This is an easy to read book, not a lengthy chapter book. In fact, it doesn't have chapters or lengthy paragraphs at all! It can be read whenever you have time and features 4 easy to read sections. Use it as a quick reference for treatment ideas. Features 8 patient case studies for treatment ideas based on common medical diagnoses in SNF/LTC.
