Ana Merckx

Ana Merckx is a driven young woman who wants to share with others the healing and joy that animals have brought her. She is working on her series "Ana's Helping Herd" to introduce her animals to young readers and encourage them to never give up Ana is a native of Bulgaria and was adopted when she was four years old. She was introduced to horseback riding when she was six and found healing in her riding. At age twelve, a medical diagnosis left her unable to continue riding. Hearbroken, she didn't give up but eventually found miniature horses and liberty training. She started a therapy business at the age of thirteen and travels NJ, sharing the healing power of her miniature herd of horses. She is the Mounmouth County Senior Equine Ambassador and is passionate about minature horses. She is an advocate for foster care and adoption. She has volunteers her time putting on clinics, speaking and fund raising for foster care and adoption advocacy.
