Ana Ruiz

Ana Ruiz was born in Madrid, Spain into a Castilian, Basque, and Andalusian family. She is the daughter of the late and gifted Spanish artist, Manuel Ruiz (http://manuel.ruiz.artist.angelfire.com.) Ruiz enjoys traveling to her homeland as often as she can to visit family and research material for her books. She is the author of "Vibrant Andalusia" and her most recent is titled "Medina Mayrit: The Origins of Madrid", both published by Algora Publishing in NY. Ruiz also keeps busy writing travel articles and teaching Spanish as well as dance classes in Montreal, Canada. Ana Ruiz nació en Madrid, España a una familia castellana, vasca y andaluza.
