Andrew J. Nicholson

Andrew J. Nicholson is Associate Professor in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies and the Department of Philosophy at Stony Brook University. His primary area of research is Indian philosophy and intellectual history. His first book, Unifying Hinduism: Philosophy and Identity in Indian Intellectual History, won the 2011 American Academy of Religion Book Award for Best First Book in the History of Religions. His second book, Lord Śiva's Song: The Īśvara Gītā, was published by SUNY Press in 2014.
