Andrew Kiste

关于作者

Andrew Kiste grew up in a Disney family: the Kistes traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida every eighteen months and frequented theaters to see the latest release from the Disney and Pixar studios. In the meantime, the young man was constantly writing, creating his own worlds and characters. As he got older, he realized that the best way to curb his longing to visit Walt Disney World was to write about it, a panacea of sorts. It wasn't until his first piece was published in a magazine at age 19 that the hobby of writing became an obsession. After spending four years in college, Kiste graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History, earning his secondary education teaching certificate. He began to bring the past to life for his students while researching Disney history in his spare time. Then, he came up with an interesting idea: to research whether or not the beloved attractions of Walt Disney World are historically accurate. Since his first book, A Historical Tour of Walt Disney World Vol. 1, in 2015, Kiste has been hard at work researching and writing, putting his skills as a trained historian and researcher to good use to ensure that his readers get a detailed and complete picture of history and how it pertains to Disney World and the Walt Disney Company. Kiste is currently a high school history teacher in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he lives with his wife and four children. In his spare time, he loves to cook, read, travel, and frequent area antique stores hunting for Disney and World's Fair treasures.
