For the last 30 years my daytime job has been as a Microsoft Consultant, but I always wanted to be, in the words of the Beatles, a 'Paperback Writer'. In 2012, I finally released my first fictional romantic comedy, 'First Years - Piranhas in the Bedroom'. I had started writing it in 1986!! It became the first in a trilogy of nostalgic books about an unfortunate young man called Jonathan Stadler, a Villa fan like me. The second book in the series ‘Just 14’ was released in 2015 and went back to the early 80’s and a pre internet innocent time. The unexpected success of this book attracted the interest of film producers. The follow book ‘Just 15 It Could Be Rotterdam’ was released in September 2024. The books hopefully to appeal especially to the British sense of humour of the male reader in his 40's and 50’s. At some point in our lives we have all found ourselves in the kind of situations that Jon does. My influences have been two terrific authors in Mike Gayle and Nick Hornby. As part of my post mid-life crisis I have released a series of children books. The world of 'King Derek and the Wonder Wizards'?
