Andy Nyman is a multi award-winning actor, writer and director. As an actor, on screen he is best known for playing Churchill in Peaky Blinders & Dan in the Oscar winning film 'Judy' and on stage the Broadway and west end productions of Martin McDonnagh's Hangmen as well as playing Tevye in Trevor Nunn's 2019 west end revival of 'Fiddler on the Roof'. His two 'Golden Rules of Acting' books are best sellers within the acting world. In 2010 Andy and Jeremy Dyson co-wrote and co directed the play 'Ghost Stories'. It has become an international sensation, enjoying three west end runs and productions all around the world. In 2017 Andy and Jeremy adapted their stage play into the much loved award winning film. Starring Andy, Martin Freeman, Paul Whitehouse and Alex Lawther the film is acclaimed as 'one of the scariest British horror films ever made' (Empire magazine). And is also a world renowned magician. He has has been Derren Brown's main collaborator for over twenty years. Together they devised and wrote many of Derren's startling TV specials including Russian Roulette and the Lottery Prediction. Andy has co-written and co-directed 8 of Derrens stage shows as well as inventing a multitude of tricks in his own right that are performed by magicians the world over. In 2018 Andy was awarded the Magic Circle's prestigious Maskelyne Award for 'Services to British Magic'.
