Anessa Praphaisri Tjarks

The Author was born in Bangkok, Thailand and grew up in a one square mile town, Albany, California. She stayed connected to her roots during her childhood by attending the local Thai Temple where she learned about her culture, attended classes, and performed traditional Thai dances. She had the opportunity to participate in a dance tour in Thailand through the Temple. At nine years old, she even preformed for the Queen of Thailand. These cultural experiences inspired her to write a book with reflections of her Thai heritage, and influence for her children. Today, she is a wife to a loving and supportive husband. A mother to three fun-filled, energetic boys who give her the opportunity to explore her imagination and grow creatively. She is part of a blended family of artists and entrepreneurs. Her father, Andre Sala, best known for his whoozit toy, nourished her creativity and inspired her to always find beauty and adventure in life.
