Angela Lam, formerly Angela Lam Turpin, is the author of several novels, two memoirs, and two short story collections. THE FOOL AND THE MAGICIAN was long-listed for the 2022 Memoir Magazine Book Award. RED EGGS AND GOOD LUCK won both the Mary Tanenbaum Literary Award and She Writes Press Memoir Discovery contest. OUT OF BALANCE won the Editor's Choice award for literary excellence. "Lips" was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and is included in the short story collection, THE HUMAN ACT AND OTHER STORIES. Lam is an alumna of Hedgebrook and a former writer-in-residence at Vermont Studio Center. She currently teaches at Gotham Writers Workshop. She is also a visual artist specializing in acrylic landscapes and mixed media.
