Angelika Gabris

Angelika was born in Munich, grew up and lives in Vienna. She started playing the piano at age 8, studied translation studies (German, Spanish, French) and attended lectures on music theory (musicology) at the University of Vienna. Her first compositions were inspired by minimal music and created in search of music that would accompany the translation of one language into another and support the melody of speech. This was followed by other compositions, intended as accompaniment to songs, theater, ballet…and independent performance pieces
