I've been a preschool teacher for over 20 years and during that time I've read a lot of children's books! I know what can hold the attention of young children and which books they request over and over again. The award winners are often the least liked by actual children. My goal is to create books that children like and want read to them. Every title of mine is tried and tested by the hardest critics of all- real children. I also aim to make books that help parents and teachers with influencing positive behavior. This is completely off trend in the modern publishing industry. It's like the more destructive the child's behavior is in the book, the more likely it is to be published. This is not helpful to parents or teachers. My books are beautifully illustrated to evoke a calmness during story time and help to settle a child into sleep or nap or just a cozy, restful story time.
