Anja Eckert's love for sourdough began in her German childhood, where she learned the craft from her mother and grandmother, using techniques passed down through generations in her family. Today, she shares her heritage through her blog and YouTube channel, Our Gabled Home, where she encourages and teaches thousands of bakers how to create and maintain sourdough starters and bake delicious sourdough goods. Anja Eckert lives in a 1910 urban farmhouse in Northern California with her husband and sons.
