Anna Maledon

When Anna was a little girl she wanted to become Anne Shirley. Even though she had the right initials( A.S.), becoming Anne Shirley wasn't all that easy, so... As an adult, instead of moving to PEI, she moved from Poland to Scotland, where she met her Caribbean dancer-turned-chef husband, had 2 sons, and started writing books. Now she thinks that writing was the thing she was meant to do, being born with six fingers on one hand. It wasn't a handicap, it was a gift! She used to live in Edinburgh, not far from where J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter, but she never met her on the bus. They share 3 things: they write books for children, they live in Scotland, and they can't drive!
