Anna Nierling

关于作者

Anna Nierling lives in Jersey City with her husband, their energetic two-year-old daughter who keeps life charmingly chaotic, and a tiny Shih Tzu with a big personality. With a background in psychology, her work is inspired by her own experiences and a passion for making mental health strategies easier to understand in daily life. Anna’s mom lived for years without the right support before being diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Once she began DBT therapy, she made incredible progress. Seeing that journey up close gave Anna a deep understanding of the challenges BPD brings—not just for the person diagnosed, but for their loved ones as well. It also reinforced her belief that with the right tools and support, meaningful change is possible. Anna’s writing is all about making mental health feel less intimidating and more practical, breaking down topics like anxious attachment, inner child work, and evidence-based tools from CBT, DBT, and ACT in a way that actually makes sense. She understands what it’s like to feel lost in emotions or trapped in unhelpful patterns. Her goal is to be the kind of guide she once needed—offering support, clarity, and reassurance along the way. When she’s not writing, Anna can usually be found curled up with a mystery novel, out for a run, bouncing on her mini trampoline (because, yes, it’s fun at any age), or experimenting in the kitchen—probably with her toddler “helping.”
