Anneal Triplett Ledbetter

Anneal Triplett Ledbetter was a southern preacher’s wife for fifty plus years. She was also a local humorist and speaker who loved making people laugh up until her death in 2015 at the age of 98. She was born and raised in a Lenoir, NC, and graduated from Queen’s University in Charlotte. She received her master’s degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky, where she met her husband, James Ervin Ledbetter. Her children James Ledbetter and Hannah Powell have published her collection of anecdotes from her many years in the ministry. Proceeds from the sale of her book, “It’s The Gospel Truth” will be donated to the Education Foundation of Caldwell County to support the Anneal and Ervin Ledbetter Angel Center in Lenoir, North Carolina.
