Antonio Elefano is an associate professor in the University of Southern California’s Writing Program. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School and a Master of Fine Arts from Boston University. He has taught legal writing to undergraduates since 2014 through his Introduction to Legal Writing, Moot Court, and Advanced Legal Writing courses at USC. In 2019, he was one of three professors across the university awarded the USC Mentoring Award for mentoring undergraduate students. He is the faculty advisor of Phi Alpha Delta, USC’s pre-law fraternity, as well as the faculty advisor/coach for USC’s undergraduate moot court team. Before coming to USC, he was a corporate litigator in New York City and a writing fellow/visiting assistant professor at the University of Houston. Elefano is also a fiction writer whose stories have been published in The Los Angeles Review, 236 and The Journal. In August 2014, his story “Italy” was one of Buzzfeed’s “29 Short Stories You Need to Read in Your Twenties.”
