Apolla Roth, was born the day man first landed on the moon and named after the Apollo spacecraft in honor of the landing. She graduated with a dual degree in Studio Arts and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She began writing in 1994 and has written many technical manuals, training courses, and articles for publications throughout her career. Her most memorable experience was when she won a short story contest about humorous career interviewing experiences. The contest was conducted by the Washington Post and judged by Richard Nelson Bolles (author of the best-selling job-hunting book, What Color is Your Parachute?). Apolla lives in a small coastal town named White Stone, in Virginia, on Chesapeake Bay with her family.
