Aponi Garlow was born on the Crow Creek Indian Reservation (South Dakota) in 1979. She grew up in close contact with the ancient culture of Native Americans and had the opportunity to learn about medicinal plants directly from her grandfather, shaman, and healer of the tribe. From a young age, Aponi understood how valuable her ancestors' knowledge was and decided that she would spread the culture of herbalism throughout the country. At the age of 18, she moved to Chicago, where she successfully attended the College of Naturopathy and Dietetics, acquiring the necessary certifications to practice as a naturopath. Currently, Aponi lives in South Dakota, where she runs a nutritional consulting practice, making extensive use of medicinal plants. In her free time, she enjoys walking in nature and looking for medicinal plants to add to her cultivation. Her mission is to spread the Native American culture and show that it is possible to minimize the use of industrial medicines thanks to a good knowledge of herbs.
