Arlene S. Bice is the author of more than a dozen non-fiction books on New Jersey history, memoir, metaphysics, and poetry. Her poems A Writer’s Pandemic and New Orleans were performed in the Pandemic Blues at the Kirby Theatre directed by Fred Motley in Roxboro, (NC). She is the recipient of the Florence Poets Society Poet of Distinction Award, published in several anthologies, and is an award-winning artist. The Second Annual Oakley Hall Literary Award was presented to her in 2018. She assists others in independent publishing and leads writing groups. Pre-pandemic she hosted Poetry in Nature afternoons in the garden at Backyard Birds and the Rosemont Vineyard. Ms. Bice is a co-founding member of the Warren Artists Market (WAM) and holds memberships in Triangle Association of Freelancers (TAF), Nonfiction Authors Association (NFAA), and International Women’s Writing Guild (IWWG). She holds Life time memberships in the Bordentown Historical Society (NJ) and New Egypt Historical Society (NJ) Ms Bice is the former proprietor of the By the Book @ U & I Gift Shop (NJ) for nearly 20 years and wrote a book review column for the Register-News for 10 years. World travel is a passion. She is an on-going student of past life regression and para-psychology. She is an avid reader that lives in Virginia.
