Arun Chandran is a passionate explorer and community builder who lives in Melbourne with his wife. Originally from India, Arun has lived in Australia for over 12 years. Arun successfully chased Aurora in both hemispheres. His travels have spanned 59 countries, each a unique opportunity to connect with people from diverse cultures and broaden his horizons. Arun is a committed techie who devotes his full time to his work on weekdays. However, on weekends, he dons the hat of an event organizer, orchestrating gatherings that create lasting memories. His zeal for fostering connections led him to establish the Explore Melbourne Meetup group in September 2016. Today, with a staggering 38,000 members, it proudly holds the title of Australia's largest meetup group, a testament to Arun's unwavering commitment to community and adventure. Arun hopes to make chasing the Aurora easier for many people through his books.
